After spending many years performing on, producing, and arranging countless other artists' successful projects, it was high time to release a creative project of my own -- from the ground up.
For me, Chalet is both a work of expression and a work of discipline. I spent years sharpening the precise musical voice and identifying the specific audience with which I sought to connect. Musically, I am deeply proud of how the debut record Tucson expresses my sentiments and evolution as a musician, composer, and producer.
But Chalet is, for me, more than the record itself. I wanted it to express my design sensibilities and instincts while connecting with my intended audience. In short, I wanted it to be an identity with a cohesive and relevant look, sound, and feel. From the creation of the name and logo, to the art direction of the cover art and website, to the music itself, the Chalet brand is an expression of what I do when left to my own devices.
